I aim to bring about healing, joy & happiness through my work. In it, I enjoy capturing the diversity & beauty of people, animals & nature. I particularly delight in making my client’s vision come to life.

Tayo Joyce, is an award winning, eclectic visual artist, soulful singer, songwriter, musician and producer. She grew up in the Los Angeles area for most of her life & currently resides there. Her art that combines realism & expressionism. And, her music is a unique blend of ambient, downtempo, neo-soul, R&B and other genres. She also teaches, illustrates, designs, works on software & participates in triathlons.

Colors & color theory fascinated Tayo Joyce at the age of five. She found joy in drawing when introduced to Anime & Manga two years later. Art loving teachers exposed her to great artists from the Renaissance period onwards. They also arranged visits to Los Angeles museums that inspired her. When she was ten, she learned to play was the flute & played in the honor band for her school district. With weekly drawing times (for the next two years) she further honed her craft in portrait work.

In junior high she picked up singing in a gospel choir & learned how to play piano in high school. Throughout college she continued singing in gospel choirs and after graduating became a lead singer in a pop, rock, R&B, and funk cover band called After Hours. 

Wanting to fulfill her dream of writing songs & music, she learned songwriting, music sequencing, music theory, composition & classical singing at Santa Ana College. She formally learned acrylic painting from Mark Leysen at Santa Ana College to pursue hers dreams as a fine artist too. At Otis College of Design & Art, Daniel Hyun Lim showed Tayo Joyce how to craft stories in her artwork.

She later joined The Rock Choir & Worship Team in 2010 where she co-wrote “Imagine Love” in 2015 & was a vocalist in The Rock Worship’s “God Will Reign” & “God Swears” live video & audio recordings. Learning to paint with oils in the impressionist style from Denis Gérablie in Paris, France in between, in 2013. She also was a soloist & section leader in choirs at Laguna Niguel Presbyterian Church, Rancho Santiago Canyon College & Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church in Los Alamitos & Christ Church by the Sea in Newport Beach (her home church).

Wanting to release & create more music, she was inspired to pursue music full time after taking a music production course taught by Dave Isaac at UCLA Extension. In 2017, Tayo Joyce learned how to record & produce music at Crē8 Music Academy, which is part of Westlake Studios, while studying vocal performance at Musician’s Institute in Hollywood. Shortly thereafter, she released her first song co-written & co-produced with Chomby. She gradually started writing, producing & releasing more songs on her own & with other skilled & talented artists, songwriters & music producers, such as Flaviyake AKA Duck The Bass, Beezee, Brent Baccetti, Shawn Graham, mesmi & FloSoul.

And, in 2019, she started recording, mixing & producing music for other artists as well, such as BagYo, Queen Esther Lumbala, Lorenzo Casini & James Michael Wong. She’s also part of an all-woman music production & songwriting trio called The Venuses, and is currently working on new releases after making a debut release early in 2022.

She’s gotten to share her art & music at the Fullerton Art Walk in 2016, as well as The Rock Church for their Night of the Arts (in 2015, 2016, 2019) & their Galentine’s Event in 2020. In 2022, she was part of the “Summertime” juried show at Whittier Art Gallery, and the “Feline Fantasies” show, where she won the Fred Van Suchtelen Award. Having two solo exhibits at the beautiful Cerritos Library in 2024 & 2025 and one at the El Dorado Nature Center that same year. And, won first place in the adult 18+ 2D art division at the Los Alamitos Weekend of Art in between.
